I'll overwhelm 'credible fighter' Jake Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua prepares to battle Jake Paul in an eight round contest which will be broadcast live on Netflix.

Briton Joshua stated he will "dominate completely" the American and "defeat" the American as the combatants met personally to build hype for next month's heavyweight fight.

Former two time world title holder Joshua meets YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, theoretically, a mammoth disparity - at Miami's arena on December 19th.

Fighter's Mentality

"I plan to break his face and break his body up. I aim to demonstrate I'm the better fighter," the British boxer, 35 years old, said.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's a fighter's mentality.

"I'm going to seriously aim to cause him pain. That's my intention."

Respectful Interaction

Despite these statements, a calm Anthony Joshua and social media star Paul - typically recognized for his theatrics - were respectful and maintained decorum with each other.

Paul instead attacked former Joshua's rival the Cameroonian fighter and called him "ridiculous" after Ngannou rejected a match opportunity.

Taking Aim at Fury

Anthony Joshua, in the meantime, took aim at British rival Tyson Fury - and rejected a million-pound wager 'Tyson Fury' claims he will make on a victory for Paul.

"[Paul] is better than Tyson Fury - he showed up," Joshua commented.

"I respect him for that."

Serious Opponent

In spite of declaring he will hurt Jake Paul, Anthony Joshua declined to speak negatively about his rival's boxing ability.

"Jake is a legitimate boxer," he stated.

Jake Paul's History

Jake Paul - who initially became famous on the Disney Channel - has mainly boxed mixed martial artists or faded names since entering professional boxing.

He lost to Briton Tommy Fury in 2023.

Financial Attraction

However, the novice continues to be one of boxing's greatest commercial attractions, frequently receiving huge earnings.

Forecast and Confidence

The 28 year old predicted a stoppage in round four or five and stated he would stop the much-anticipated match between Joshua and Fury, which is apparently in the works for 2026.

"It's going to be my match with Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul declared.

Physical Disparity

As both boxers met for the usual confrontation, with their size difference clearly visible, it drove home just how surprising this complete situation is - and how remarkable it is that the match is truly going ahead.
